We provide whole-person care, treating co-occurring diagnoses as well as the eating disorder to set patients up for lasting recovery. Some of the most common physical effects of purging include:
- Discoloration and decay of the teeth
- Sore throat and temporary loss of voice
- Bleeding from the mouth
- Low blood pressure
- Heart arrhythmia
- Low heart rate
- Feeling cold often
- Chronic acid reflux
- Chronic diarrhea
- Chronic pain in the stomach
- Chronic cough
- Kidney failure
- Infertility
- Hormone disruptions
- Electrolyte imbalance
of Equip patients have at least one co-occurring psychiatric diagnosis
Eating disorders commonly occur with anxiety, depression, autism, OCD, SUDs, PTSD, and more
