In-depth training from the start
Equip clinicians are full time, W-2 employees by design so that we can provide them with the comprehensive, specific training necessary for our high standards of care.
FIRST 12 WEEKS
Initial eating disorder training
Every provider begins their time with Equip in a 12-week training program designed by leading experts and innovators in the eating disorders field. This training includes learning modules, live workshops, and ongoing supervision.
This training covers:
Core knowledge about Equip, eating disorders, and our treatment models
Instruction in multidisciplinary care and collaboration
Competency in treating a diverse patient population
4.7
Equip providers rating of their training
NEXT 12-18 WEEKS
Advanced training and supervision
After the initial 12 weeks, providers continue their advanced training and supervision, and therapists will earn certification after 24-30 weeks in one of our three evidence-based core treatment modalities—a total training package with a value up to $7,000 and comparable in length to leading certification programs. Our certification program is part of our dedication to providing the gold standard in evidence-based care. While certification isn’t universally required to practice these evidence-based modalities, it’s an essential step at Equip to ensure our treatment is effective across all of our providers.
