Never Miss a Diagnosis: Screening for Eating Disorders (encore)

About the event: This talk will review available tools for screening eating disorders and discuss the pros and cons of using them in clinical practice. It will also discuss gaps in the research, with an emphasis on tools needed for early detection in childhood and adolescence. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to use current screening tools in practice, and what innovations are needed to ensure eating disorders are caught as early as possible.

There will be time for Q&A.

  2. Identify gaps in eating disorder screening research
  3. Describe how eating disorder screening tools can be used in clinical practice

Dr. Baker is Senior Research Manager at Equip Health. Prior to her role at Equip, she served as faculty at the University of North Carolina Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders for almost a decade. Dr. Baker has a PhD in Clinical Psychology with expertise in eating disorders research and treatment.
