About the event: This talk will review available tools for screening eating disorders and discuss the pros and cons of using them in clinical practice. It will also discuss gaps in the research, with an emphasis on tools needed for early detection in childhood and adolescence. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to use current screening tools in practice, and what innovations are needed to ensure eating disorders are caught as early as possible.
There will be time for Q&A.

Dr. Dori Steinberg is the Vice President of Research at Equip. With 20 years of experience as a researcher and registered dietitian, Dr. Steinberg’s work has been published in notable scientific journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, and The American Journal of Public Health. Dr. Steinberg received a master’s in Public Health from Harvard University and a doctorate in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining Equip, she was an Associate Professor at Duke University.
