About the event: When you suspect a patient is struggling with an eating disorder, having conversations and getting them into care can feel both urgent and emotionally complex. This presentation is built to make it easier for providers to help patients through this critical time with tangible guidance on recognizing sneaky symptoms, navigating patient discussions, and understanding the vast treatment landscape. We’ll also dive into different types of care, common barriers to accessing treatment, and how virtual treatment helps overcome the obstacles of traditional care models.
Learning objectives: After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:
1. Identify symptoms that are commonly overlooked in eating disorder patients
2. Implement strategies for navigating conversations with patients who are resistant to recommendations
3. Differentiate between virtual and brick and mortar eating disorder options for care

- Eligible providers who attend the webinar will be eligible for up to 1 credit through ACCME or APA.
- Equip designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity
