Instructional Designer (Remote Position)

Equip is a virtual program helping families recover from eating disorders at home with comprehensive, gold-standard care created by experts in the field and people in recovery. Equip’s five-person care teams include dietitians, physicians, therapists, and mentors who deliver wrap-around support to provide families healing and lasting recovery.

We created Equip to increase access to evidence-based treatment for all people affected by eating disorders. About the role:

The Instructional Designer will partner with our Training Manager on the creation of training materials for our clinical providers and HQ teams. As a member of the Clinical Operations team, you will play a key role in creating meaningful training content that educates and entertains our new and existing team members. If you enjoy taking PowerPoints and turning them into engaging learning experiences, this is the role for you!

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with Training Manager to design and develop engaging eLearning course content
  • Convert existing training content into e-learning courses and/or videos.
  • Design learning assessments and surveys to evaluate course effectiveness and learner application
  • Creation of additional training materials, including job aides, PowerPoints, etc.
  • Additional administrative tasks as needed
  • Prior experience with Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Snagit, and/or other eLearning authoring tools
  • Graphic design experience
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Familiarity with GSuite
  • Good communication and deadline management
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • BA/BS in eLearning & Instructional Design, Distance Education and E-Learning
  • Experience with Talent LMS
  • Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access to treatment
