Revenue Cycle Manager (remote position)

Equip is a virtual program helping families recover from eating disorders at home with comprehensive, gold-standard care created by experts in the field and people in recovery. Equip’s five-person care teams include dietitians, physicians, therapists, and mentors who deliver wrap-around support to provide families healing and lasting recovery.

About the role:

We are searching for a highly motivated and organized Revenue Cycle Manager to help build, lead, and scale the revenue cycle function at Equip. The ideal candidate will have extensive health care experience required specifically in the revenue cycle management function, billing, claims, and payment practices.

What you will do:

  • Lead and grow the revenue cycle management function at Equip
  • Identify areas of revenue loss related to billing and claims management
  • Create processes and procedures to ensure RCM operates smoothly and efficiently
  • Oversee utilization, claims, remittance processing, and collection practices
  • Create and analyze data on denial management, appeals, and payment posting
  • Ensure patients have timely, clear, and accurate billing statements and financial assistance options
  • Introduce best practices and optimize work processes to address payer, regulatory, financial, and operational changes as well as emerging industry trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5+ years of experience working as a RCM manager or equivalent role in a healthcare setting,
  • 8+ years experience in cross functional management in areas such as billing, collections, denials, and audits.
  • Track record of maximizing cash flow through optimizing processes and practices
  • Strong communicator with a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability and willingness to pivot to other potential tasks
  • Enthusiastic, strong team player a must

Bonus if you have the following:

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or an MBA
  • Extensive experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, claims, and/or coding operations
  • Experience with Tableau, Excel, and EMRs
  • Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access to treatment
