Equip is a virtual program helping families recover from eating disorders at home with comprehensive, gold-standard care created by experts in the field and people in recovery. Equip’s five-person care teams include dietitians, physicians, therapists, and mentors who deliver wrap-around support to provide families healing and lasting recovery.

We created Equip to increase access to evidence-based treatment for all people affected by eating disorders. About the role:
As a UX designer, you are organized, care about the details, and have a strong intellectual curiosity. You strive to transform complex tasks into delightful and effortless experiences for our users. You understand that achieving great design is a team effort and requires collaboration with cross functional partners. You are willing to show your work early and often because you believe showing is more important than telling.

Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Craft user-centric product experiences with a relentless focus on ease-of-use and value delivery for patients and providers
  • Deliver high-quality design solutions, paired with detailed specifications for implementation
  • Partner with business leaders, product management, and engineering to ensure alignment throughout the process
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Contribute to usability testing of wireframes and prototypesQuickly collect and decipher feedback for rapid design iteration
  • Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate your design concepts
  • BA/BS degree in design-related studies
  • A portfolio of design work/case studies demonstrating your principles, methodologies, and approach
  • Ability to visualize, own and execute the creation of a web product from initial concepts and wireframes, to collaborating with engineers on implementation
  • Ability to lead design conversations and identify opportunities to help our users succeedProficient in Sketch, Figma, and working knowledge of emerging software
  • Ability to understand and empathize with our users through design best practices and help us deliver an engaging and thoughtful experience, which improves the delivery of behavioral healthcare
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other disciplines such as engineering, product and marketing
